Information and communication technology (ICT) is one of Switzerland's most dynamic growth sectors. Innovation, digitization and new technologies are rapidly changing our working world. But while the industry is booming, one thing stands out in particular: Women are still significantly underrepresented in ICT.

Imagine actresses and actors moving effortlessly through expansive fantasy worlds — without complex green screens or heavy backdrops. Virtual production makes just that possible: It opens up a new era of filmmaking, in which real and digital worlds seamlessly merge. In Basel, an exciting cooperation between FilmStudio Basel and the technology agency Centigrade impressively demonstrates how technical know-how and creative visions work together to create completely new film spaces.
