Our research focuses on distributed ledger technology and its applications. Research areas include consensus protocols, smart contracts, the tokenization of assets, and the fundamental impact that digitization will have on the future of our economy. We attach great importance to a comprehensive and interdisciplinary analysis, because we are convinced that many economic questions can only be answered if researchers take a closer look at the underlying technology. The professorship, financed by Credit Suisse Asset Management (Switzerland), is part of the Faculty of Economics.
