Based on innovative algorithm/software/hardware co-design concepts developed in a series of collaborative projects with Microsoft, the University of Basel, ETH Zurich and EPF Lausanne and supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Microsoft Embedded Software Innovation Cluster (ICES), we have implemented a highly scalable framework to solve signal/image processing challenges that require high-performance computing at multiple scales. We scale solutions from a custom PC to parallel solutions on multi-core PCs, to high-performance PC clusters, or to super-powerful arrays of general-purpose graphics cards (gPGPUs); on the other hand, we offer to scale high-performance computing to embedded, low-cost yet powerful FPGA designs that run on a wide range of current FPGAs that are even suitable for the portable electronic device you've designed.
