Uptown Basel

UptownBasel is an international competence center for Industry 4.0. A development and production site is being built on the historic Schoren site in Arlesheim near Basel, where selected technology companies and other organizations will be based. The focus is on industrial production, healthcare and logistics as well as the cross-cutting function of digitization. As a platform for networked companies, UptownBasel promotes the transfer of knowledge across industries and disciplines and thus promotes the implementation of latent ideas — in the areas of Internet of Things, robotics, artificial intelligence, future mobility or agile work. UptownBasel is made possible by the private ownership of the Monique family and Thomas Staehelin and implemented by Fankhauser site developments.
