From November 20 to 22, 2026, ideas will turn into prototypes. During this three-day hackathon, diverse teams of experts, students, and companies will tackle real-world business challenges focused on green tech, the circular economy, and CO2 reduction. A hackathon is a race against the clock: we are looking for solutions that go beyond just a slide deck.

The event will be facilitated by Carl Philipp Kohler and Alexandros Riggenbach, who operate in Basel under their brand, sprintd. Their platform also powers the backend for Hack Apertus, a nationwide hackathon series centered on Apertus, the open language model developed by ETH Zurich, EPFL, and the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS).

The benefits for companies are immediate: you bring a specific challenge to the table and, within three days, receive potential solutions, prototypes, and connections to future talent.
