Project Funding
We support digital pilots and prototypes that are developed collaboratively and benefit the Basel region. We particularly welcome projects that break down knowledge silos and foster knowledge transfer.
Applicants agree that BaselTech may support and accompany the project, for example during the kickoff and with storytelling.
KEY FACTS
+ ADD POST
Up to 80% of project costs. Typically CHF 10,000, with up to CHF 20,000 in exceptional cases.
+ DURATION
8 to 12 weeks for implementation
+ CONDITION
At least 2 partners, with a focus on ICT or digital transformation.
+ IMPORTANT
Funding is not retroactive. Applications must be submitted before the project begins.
✅ What we fund
- Relevance to ICT, digital transformation, or digital innovation
- Benefits for the Basel business ecosystem, ideally extending beyond the project partners themselves
- Concrete challenge with clear benefits for the company or startup: use case, prototype, integration, or validation
- At least two partners, for example, a startup and an SME, a university and a company, or an ICT provider and a problem owner
- Companies based in the Basel region, with a maximum of 30% of project staff located abroad
- Time-limited: implementation within 8 to 12 weeks
- Co-creation: collaborative development
- Proven team expertise
- Planned knowledge transfer: open demo, templates, lessons learned
- Pilot project: rapid learning cycle with scaling potential
❌ What is not funded
- Investments in companies or contributions toward acquisitions and ongoing operational costs
- Implementation of standard software, ERP systems, websites, or common cloud solutions
- Client projects or commercial pilots between two companies that primarily focus on the further development of a single business
- Projects with an exclusive lock-in effect or implicit product recommendations
