You can now apply for project funding from BaselTech.

We support digital pilots and prototypes from the Basel region that have a clear connection to ICT or digital transformation. The grant covers up to 80% of project costs, typically amounting to CHF 10,000. In addition, we provide support for your project, such as during the kickoff and with storytelling.

Developed together, with benefits for the region

This funding is aimed at projects involving at least two partners. This could be a startup working with a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME), a university collaborating with a company, or an ICT provider working with a business that wants to solve a specific challenge. Together, the partners develop a use case, a prototype, or an integration into existing systems, or they test whether an idea is viable in practice. The implementation phase is scheduled for 8 to 12 weeks.

The decisive factor is the benefit to the Basel economy, ideally extending beyond the participating partners.

Less risk, faster clarity

Trying out a new digital solution costs time and money, and you only find out if it’s worth it once you test it. That is exactly where this funding comes in. The grant covers a large portion of the costs, and after 8 to 12 weeks, you will have a reliable answer: Does the idea work in practice, and is it worth taking the next step?

Both sides benefit from this. Those bringing a challenge to the table receive a prototype tailored to their specific needs. Those providing the expertise get to test their offering against a real-world problem and gain a use case they can showcase. In the best-case scenario, this leads to a collaboration that continues beyond the project.

How to apply for funding

This funding is intended for projects that are still in the planning stage. Please submit your application before the project begins. An expert panel will review applications promptly.
