HeK is dedicated to digital culture and the new art forms of the information age. It is a place where creative and critical discourses about the aesthetic, socio-political and economic effects of media technologies take place. The HeK presents contemporary art that researches and designs new technologies; it promotes an aesthetic practice that uses information technologies as a medium, makes them vivid and actively intervenes in their processes. In doing so, HeK addresses urgent questions about 21st century culture and actively contributes to shaping them.
